GSM - Géosel Manosque
The Géosel Manosque underground storage site, which started up in 1969, is one of the leading European storage sites for liquid hydrofuel due to its size. It has a total useful capacity of over 9 million cubic metres comprising around 50% of brute oil and 50% of refined products.
Located in the heart of nature in the tranquillity of the Lubéron Regional Nature Park, it is the perfect example of successful cohabitation between a particularly sensitive nature reserve and industrial activity.
It includes:
- 28 saline storage cavities for brute oil, diesel, domestic fuel, petrol and naphtha and two salt production cavities,
- A network of pipelines which notably allow the site to receive and dispatch hydrofuel from/to the Fos-Berre-Lavéra zone.
As a key element of the oil logistics in the south west of France, the Géosol storage plant is linked to the refineries in the Fos/Berre zone, the Marseille shipping port and international pipeline networks of the SPSE and SPMR.
Géostock manages and operators the storage site for Géosol.
